Comments Thread For: Adonis Stevenson To Face Tommy Karpency on Sept. 11

WBC light heavyweight champion Adonis Stevenson (26-1, 21KOs) has announced that he plans to defend his title against Tommy Karpency (25-4-1, 14KOs) on September 11th in Toronto. The fight will be carried by Premier Boxing Champions on Spike TV.

Karpency, although ranked at #9 in the WBC's top ten, will be a massive underdog in the fight. He was knocked out by Andrzej Fonfara in seven rounds in November of 2012. Since then he's won four in a row including last year's upset split decision over former WBC champion Chad Dawson.

Oh they will, they defending Floyd vs Berto.

And don't get me wrong, I want PBC to be freaking awesome, buts it's not. It's Al Haymon giving himself and his fighters easy paydays.

That's all Haymon is to this sport.

"b-but...Kovalev just fought a nobody in Mohammedi doe."

guess what, dummies...he was the mandatory challenger. HBO didn't pick him, and neither did Main Events. This disgusting Stevenson fight though...hand-picked by the blight of boxing: Mr. Al Haymon.
