Abraham is fighting on Sat 1, same channel that shows quite a few GGG fights, that fight would be easy to make but Wegner is never letting Abraham close to GGG.
I am from germany and this is well known here, that Sturm has paid alot of money to never have to fight GGG, everyone here realizes how strong GGG is and how he would totally dominate Abraham and Sturm, who are two of the most popular and known fighters to casual fans, they have been fighting on the biggest tv channels for over 10 years and regularly have a couple million viewers, while GGG was barely shown on TV, sometimes at 4 am in the morning to a very small audience.
Abraham might fight Sturm eventually though, just like 5 years too late.
Both of them will not step into the ring with GGG unless they get paid an insane amount of money.
Abraham and Sturm are both making good dough fighting Stieglitz a dozen times and some unknown italian cans in between.

Ward got stripped of his WBC belt, and only became available when the vacant belt was won by Bika in June 2013. Abraham had already lost his belt by the time that happened, and he only won back his WBO belt in March 2014. So basically you're complaining that he didn't unify with the WBC belt during that tiny period where there was the Bika/Dirrell rematch and the Dirrel/Jack fights took place.
Despite having fought the best SMW champs, that short period translates into not wanting to "go near other SMW champs?"Last edited by DoktorSleepless; 07-18-2015, 11:25 PM.

Oh right but, he had no issues fighting Dr Steel-glitz 4 times ffs.
You can factor out the word, champs. The fact is he hasn't gone out of his comfort zone in terms of competition post super six after realizing his limitations. I don't blame him, but don't try to defend it.
That short period you describe goes back to Aug 2012 when he won his first WBO SMW title. You do realize this isn't poker right and 3 years is a millennium in boxing.

^^^ 4 years as IBF champion. How many times did Abraham try to unify it? or is that a short period of time?Last edited by Box-Office; 07-19-2015, 12:06 AM.
