      That's boxing for you, Matthysse went for the best belt and also already beat Peterson. I'm confident he would have killed Ik Yang too.

        Certainly Chavez didn't retire undefeated and that 89-0 is outstanding but it is more remarkable the fact that he is the boxer who holds the Guiness record for more title defenses (surpassed the great Joe Louis) as well as for fighting in more championship fights (surpassed everyone). Cuenca just got his first title fight so how can anyone compare him to Floyd while he doesn't even have one single defense of any title (just because he is 48-0 while Floyd with the same number of fights has faced and defeated many former or prevalent champions).
        And by the way, Ricardo Lopez (champion in 2 divisions) retired undefeated with a record of 51-0-1 38 KO's and he had 24 defenses while he was involved in 26 title fights and he held unified titles. There is another fighter worth to mention but came a little bit short of the 49-0-0: He was Joe Calzaghe with record of 46-0-0 32 KO's with a total of 20 defenses (21 title fights) and although he made his career at SMW, he was also another champion unifying titles.
        Rocky Marciano with that 49-0-0 43 Ko's was only involved in 7 title fights (6 defenses). The most remarkable feature of Marciano was the fact he was small (1.79m) for fighting as a HW (although Mike Tyson was a little bit shorter with a height of only 1.78m while Mike was involved in 16 title fights having hold also unified titles). So, please compare apples to apples and don't even mention Cuenca who is far from belonging among the greatest.

          dont act like you even know what you are talking about, your a bum. fact is im talking about retiring with an undefeated record moron. lopez had a blemish on his record, yes a draw is a blemish. fact is if cuenca retires undefeated he will hold the record. so nice job on talking apples to apples and making yourself look ******. im talking about retiring undefeated and holding the record. so like you say "compare apples to apples" and not start bringing in other accomplishments. dumbass. hurry up and reply, ill be waiting for your ignorant response.

            Cuenca is a damn good boxer, that Chinese guy kept coming at him and had power, the guy just cleanly outboxed him all night. Can take a punch, fast too, just not a lot of power.

              [QUOTE=UTEP;15885165]Cuenca > everybody at 140.

              I would not go that far, but pretty close. Is in my top 5 JWW and I think he will make a difficult night to any of the top 10 lbxlb .

                    Good for him. Been an admirer since 2011.

                    Now William Fernando Souza Bezerra (40-0 39 KO) needs to get a shot.
