Kovalev went to ALL his top opponents backyards and beat them in their own home. Something Ward doesn't particularly like
I can imagine Kovalev landing a bloody dangerous liver shot onto Ward and ending it. I can't picture Ward, being the smaller and weaker man beat Kovalev. You're also underrating Kovalev's ring IQ.
I agree, GGG will most likely lose.
Ward is in jeopardy against Kovalev, he knows this too, I remember Ward calling Kovalev the "boogeyman"

Ward will almost assuredly ask for Oakland @ 168.

Forget this "Team Ward" nonsense, I want to hear Andre Ward say he wants to fight Golovkin this Autumn/Fall.
Come out and say it, tweet it, anything...none of these Chinese whispers.
Originally posted by Redd Foxx View PostI don't think Kovalev is bad at all. I'd agree that he's solid. But Ward's resume is so much better and, strategically, doesn't have the gritty or awkward tendencies needed to bother Ward. I see him falling into Andre's traps just like everyone else. He's not going to be able to bully him like he did old man Hopkins.
Because that's what we're talking about here, arguably the hardest PFP puncher in the sport who boils down from cruiserweight. This clinch stuff isn't going to work against him, too physically big and aggressive. Ward already has relative feather-fists at SM, he's only going to go further down the Malignaggi scale at 175.Last edited by Weebler I; 07-18-2015, 01:41 AM.

I could be wrong, lets wait and see.
As stated before I am far more interested in Kovalev vs Ward. Ward-GGG negotiations will drag on for a while and GGG's style/size aren't good for beating Andre to begin with.Last edited by ////; 07-18-2015, 01:44 AM.
