Comments Thread For: Chavez Jr. Misses Weight, Reyes on Point at 168.4

A few days ago, Mexican brawler Marcos Reyes (33-2, 24 KOs) said he was very doubtful that Julio Chavez, Jr. (48-2-1, 32 KOs) would be able to make the contract weight of 169-pounds. There was a max weight of 169, and it was raised to 170-pounds, and Chavez Jr. still came in at 170.8-pounds unless a monetary agreement is reached between both sides. He will need some time to lose the additional weight. He was stripped down on the scale. Reyes was on point, at 168.4-pounds.

Ridiculous! Make it 171 and ring the damn bell.
It's NOT a title fight so whats the big deal about a pound or two!
It's amazing he lost any weight at all.
