Comments Thread For: Hopkins' Coach Reflects on Mayweather-Pacquiao Outcome

Much has been written about the 'Fight of The Century' - Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Manny Pacquiao - which took place on May 2nd at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

After five to six years of anticipation, it was going to be impossible to meet the expectations of the contest. Mayweather dominated the action to win a twelve round unanimous decision.

Naazim Richardson, best known as the head trainer of living legend Bernard Hopkins, reflected back on the highly successful pay-per-view event.

Pacquiao was expected to be a tough fight for Mayweather but he wasn't. I have been saying Mayweather wins easy since 2008. Nothing surprised me except Floyd didn't try to beat him up worst. Not believing the shoulder excuse because when he was asked by Max Kellerman why he didn't throw as much, he said it was because of Mayweather's movement. Bob made him lie to save face. Manny is a fraud who built up his career as a dominate fighter by fighting come forward fighters. Floyd would have always beat him.

Pacquiao has never looked good against an elite mover in his entire career. Bad arm or not, Mayweather's legs were always going to negate Manny's offense. Hell, it seemed like 90% of Roach's gameplan was built around the fact that he THOUGHT Mayweather couldn't move anymore.

Seriously, Manny couldn't catch the ghost of Shane Mosley after it jumped on its bike.

This. Pac didnt say anything about an injury in the post fight interview. Only after he had several hours alone with Arum and company, then in the post fight press conference we are told he had a major shoulder injury that needs surgery. Thats funny because he didnt fight any different before and after the fourth round when he supposedly tore his rotator cuff, nor did his corner ever talk about his arm the entire fight.

Soon after the fight when Pac said he had injured himself during the fight, Floyd was like that is unfortunate, we'll do it again then.

But once Pac said he thought he beat Floyd then that upset Floyd and hes making it difficult again. That's when the excuses that they don't think he was injured came up.
