    lol

Kovalev went a hard 12 rounds with a 49-year old Bernard Hopkins, tagging him in spots, but never doing much to make people think that he would get him out of there.

Andre Ward brings a lot of the sheer skill that Hopkins brought, still has his legs to work with, and hasn't even been really wobbled since the Darnell Boone fight, a fighter who gave Kovalev all he could handle.

People need to actually sit down and watch these fights.

Because Andre Ward is in a position where he doesn't have to simply default to HBO, and Team Kovalev seems to be chicken**** about taking a fight that isn't on HBO.

If Roc Nation puts up $5m for Ward-Kovalev, does Team Kovalev duck out on that fight if Roc Nation decides to take the fight to BET?

Stevenson is already ducking Kovalev, so we already know he won't fight the guy who beats him.
Andre Ward is with a promotional outfit that's ready and willing to put the money behind him. With Roc Nation pushing him, and Andre Ward being able to draw in Oakland at Oracle (his name is strong in the Bay Area) and at Barclays in Brooklyn ("house that Jay-Z helped build), Ward would be just fine, as long as he keeps winning.

Add that Ward beating Kovalev would like follow Ward also beating Golovkin, with PBC quickly on the rise, and where else would HBO go for a fighter to carry their programming? Seeing things for what they are, Ward could set his own dang price.

I hope that's the case. Dude is ultra talented and can't get a decent paycheck for nothing. Still though, if he beats Kovalev, he'll be waiting years for GGG

?? 12 hard rounds? Kovalev made easy work of Hopkins. Hopkins didn't open up because he didn't want to get stopped. If Ward wants any chance of winning he's going to have to open up or suffer the same fate Hopkins did.
Ward doesn't have the power to hurt Kovalev, but Kov does have the power to hurt Ward. Boone also gave Ward all he could handle, so that's not a good argument.
