Utter PR disaster for Team GGG.
Loeffler stumbles around in interviews, I've always known that. I don't think his team have been "full of ****" regarding the fights that they've wanted. I think on this issue it was a ******ed statement by Tom and I doubt that is a request from GGG (being that he's stated he opposes catchweights). But even if Golovkin really wants a CW Tom shouldn't have said it. You don't say that kind of stuff unless it's really necessary and they are advanced in negotiating already, otherwise you just open yourself up for unnecessary criticism, like he just did here.

If I'm Golovkin I give Leoffler/K2 about 6 months to get him a big fight and if they don't deliver I'd seriously consider shopping around (no idea what his contract is with K2 though).

First thought: more tuneup fights for Ward only makes sense. The first one with Paul Smith wasn't even much of a sparring session let alone a fight. And as for splitting the weight difference, 164 would seem to be fair, so let's see what Andre has to say about it.

Bittchle G do me a favor and get off p4p list...u're a club fighter bro..u're more of a circus act that a competitive boxer...your streak is more important than your resume...

ward could call for a cw from sergey which i doubt he does and the white crowd would come in like sergey is Bittchle G's big brother...UM I GOT NEWS FOR YOU...he's not..

I've always said the truth. I'm a fan of fighters not promoters & managers (weird phenomenon on NSB).

I can almost guarantee Leoffler is going to backtrack on this one and in a day or two say something like "Golovkin is willing to fight at 168 no catchweight, my mistake". GGG has always maintained he's against catch weights.

That is some straight b*tch ****. 50-50 is fine, neither guy is more a star than the other. 164 though? **** off. That's a punk move, if you'll move up to 168 for everyone else, you better do so for Ward.

But the deal would have to be under Golovkin's terms and not dictated by Ward. Loeffler feels Golovkin has surpassed Ward as a ticket seller and in terms of name recognition - making GGG the A-side of the negotiations.

Uh oh here comes a GGG fanboy. I think 164 is too low but I'll reiterate. Golovkin should be allowed to clean out the middleweight division. If everyone insists on him fighting Ward now, fine but why should he be expected to move up 8 lbs just because he can punch there. I think he'd win a close fight anyway but my point is this, GGG is a middleweight, let him silence the haters and crush the mws who wont fight him. If only supermiddlewieghts will then fine move up. I've never seen so many haters for no good reason. Guys are afraid to fight him and you turn that into he only wants to fight tomato cans. He's no Chavez jr.
