Comments Thread For: Tyson Fury Has No Issue With Fight Klitschko in Russia

Heavyweight contender Tyson Fury (24-0, 18KOs) is not opposed to facing WBO/IBO/IBF/WBA champion Wladimir Klitschko in Russia.

Fury is the WBO's mandatory challenger to Klitschko and their fight is expected to happen in either September or October.

A purse bid has been scheduled for Monday by the WBA - where Fury is also rated as the mandatory challenger.

What a dumbass. There is a Russia's war on Ukraine for 1,5 years already, and this clown is talking about fight with Klitschko on red square.

Fury is a dumb oaf. Why on earth would Ryabinsky bring Wlad to Russia, he has already stated numerous times now is a bad time for relations between Russia and Ukraine, what good would come from taking the Ukrainian champ to Russia along with his fan base. This is just wishful thinking from Fury hoping he gets a colossal payday like when Sascha fought the champ.

Wladimir fights out of Germany and is a native Ukranian so why the hell Russia?

I thought maybe Fury made an idiotic mistake confusing Wlad and the whole of East Europe of being "Russia" or something like that.

Yep it sure sounds strange to me! Why would a Ukrainian wanna fight in Russia unless it was to duff up a Russkie?!!

... Poor Hearn, he doesn't care about geography and politics... And it was about Povetkin fighting Wilder in Russia, not about Klitschko -- who would even go to the UK, if Sauerland doesn't win the bid...

... and technically, Wlad is of Slavic stock and he labels himself as Ukrainian, not Russian...
