Never gonna happen. Cotto is to slow. His thudding punches can be seen a mile away. He will be on the defense to much to have his way. The younger stronger faster Canelo may stop Cotto.

If Cotto wins this will solidify he is in beast mode!

Personally I used to have a lot of Respect for Roach... But I believe he needs to retire! He doesn't seem to trai his fighters to box but to go for a knock out with no back up plan. Cotto needs a trainer that can be diverse but unfourtanitly their isn't many high profile trainers that try to teach both Offense and Defense both effectively. Much like the Mayweathers, Roger turned Floyd into a more offensive fighter with Combinations and Senior keeps it almost primarily defense.

To the point, Cotto hasn't fought a fighter with the intangibles Canelo holds. Unlike Margarito, Canelo has power but Speed,Defense and Ring Generalship wrapped up in one. Not like Pacquiao, in the aspect he uses defense for that being offensive and is much younger than when Pacquiao when he fought Cotto. Canelo has this fight locked up, if he trains like a savage and comes out focused.

I'm going with Canelo by Late KO. Either by Knee or Floored needing a Pillow.

What competition level?

Canelo arguably lost the Lara fight. Couldn't put away a washed up angulo and chinless kirkland, who pillow punching Ishida stopped in ONE round.

Kirkland has the chin of a 87 year old ***ish woman.

Your absolutely right Roach is horrible for Cotto, Cotto has only won every fight since Roach took over as his trainer. You really did your homework cudos to you.

He has deceiving speed and the guy can box too- Moseley quote post fight after Cotto fight. Most recently Daniel Geale, "he was fast and crafty it was difficult for me to catch up to him.
Pacquiao's speed is special and Money May is pretty fast and Cotto was able to get to him. Cotto destroyed Judah who is thought to be faster than Money May. So your theory of Cotto being too slow is inaccurate.

Canelo hasn't dropped a top fighter so how does he have more power then cotto when cotto is dropping guys bigger then him and the stamina of canelo is suspect and canelo got rocked by a smaller cotto when he was young so he can be hurt and cotto will hurt him
