Comments Thread For: Porter Credits Manny Pacquiao Sparring For His Growth

Former champion Shawn Porter notched a big victory this past Saturday night at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, when he dominated Adrien Broner over twelve rounds in a Premier Boxing Champions headliner on NBC.

Porter was at one-time a sparring partner used by eight division champion Manny Pacquiao and credits those experiences for helping him grow as a fighter.

Yeah I saw the same thing. He looked real sloppy and uncoordinated. Any decent boxer that knew how to jab would have beat him that night.

Porter knows the master has taught him well.

So horrible that his opponent made a hug fest the whole night lol

So horrible that his opponent who loves to imitate floyd had no answer to any of acquired floyd skill set lol The one thing that worked was the hugging games though. That he has mastered from his master.

Broner's version is a tad bit cheesier than floyd's. Swwweeeet.

Oh make no mistake, Broner looked horrible too. Worse than Porter. But that doesn't change my point.

Well at least the guy looked better than he did vs Brook. But yeah, he has a ways to go.

Porter looked very sluggish at 144.

He should never fight below 147 again.
