Comments Thread For: Cotto Prefers Las Vegas or New York For Canelo Clash

The teams behind WBC middleweight champion Miguel Angel Cotto (40-4 and 33 knockouts) and Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez (45-1-1, 32KOs) are deep in discussions for a fall fight, likely in first or second week or November.

Cotto prefers to have the fight in either New York City or Las Vegas. He's not really moved by facing Canelo in Texas, but the location has not been ruled out. There will be a promotional tour that will include at least four to five cities, which could inclide San Juan, New York, Los Angeles, Texas, Mexico and Las Vegas.

LV or NY. If they said Texas I wouldn't blame Cotto for walking away from it. He should not fight there under any circumstance. Texas is easily the worst place in the WORLD for an "away" fighter.

Ill be just getting back from Hawaii so i doubt this will happen for me but of im gonna watch.

              I say Vegas.

Texas is Canelo and NY is Cotto. Vegas is neutral

Vegas is the likely landing spot IMO.

Vegas is not neutral, it'd be a Canelo crowd. The judging would be more impartial than Texas that's for sure.
