Devin Haney the next floyd/Roy?

He's only 17. Hopefully he's guided well, still young so he should use those extra years for some extra experience.

True but it's not like hes fighting contenders or anything. Btw i'm judging him in comparison to Floyd/Roy not just a general world champion, i'm sure he can win world titles but i'm not convinced he is special like them.

Compared to Roy/Floyd he doesn't have their crazy natural talent, in flashes he looks good but I don't see any one particular thing that marks him out as a future champion. It's really too soon to judge though. In the fight posted I thought he was leaning forward or punching from a crouch too often, giving away his height/reach advantage. His opponent was game though, it was a good learning fight.

Honestly, at this young age he looks too sloppy and is lacking in natural ability. There's nothing to suggest he'll get much further than fighting journeymen. The next Floyd/Roy is a laughable moniker.
