But what does that really prove with such a size difference....

Fight night weights would be floyd 150 and ggg 165+
This has been the case with all Floyd's opponents, he's always outweighed by 10-15 lbs sometimes even close to 20 lbs on fight night, GGG is slower and has faced worse opposition than a lot of Floyd's recent opponents, if GGG is ready to man up and put his money where his mouth is and fight Floyd at 154, I have it 70-30 for Floyd, can't lose 6 extra pounds and perform at your best against the best fighter jn the world. I would like to see this fight at 156-157, at 157 it's an even fight.

What would be even better than the fight would be the butthurt fans after the fight who'll definitely complain about the weight and how drained GGG was, I wouldn't be surprised if GGG himself pulled a Canelo after the fight (complain about the weight even though he proposed to fight at a weight that was lower than the weight the fight took place at.

Easy fight for Floyd at 154. Id rather see him take the fight at 160. But I'll take 154. If he does it mad props either way.

Canelo didn't appear especially drained at the weigh in if I recall. He didn't look like Geale going into Cotto for instance (doubt it would have mattered in Geale's case). If GGG came to the weigh in looking like a hollowed out skeleton, I'd be worried that it would affect his performance, but ultimately it was his/his team's responsibility to negotiate a fight weight and then make it without sacrificing too much.

If he can't make the weight without sacrificing competitiveness, he shouldn't accept a fight at that weight. If you're not sure whether you can make a weight, you understand that you're taking a risk. It will look bad on GGG to say that he is 99 or 100% certain he can win at 154 and then be drained or otherwise lose.

Still, when we evaluate a fighter's performance in a fight we do not just take the context away (where were the fighters in their careers, what weight did they fight at etc). For instance, few would see Canelo beating Mosley as particularly indicative of much given when it was fought.

Anyway, Mayweather would instantly earn respect from me for taking on a risky fight, even more so if he gets a clear win/stoppage. If GGG agrees to fight at 154, he better dam well look good at that weigh in. Plus, whos to say that losing weight provides the bigger disadvantage compared to being the much smaller guy in the ring? shrug

This guy knows he'd get demolished by GGG. There wouldn't even be enough misc pieces left to have a funeral. And that would definitely put the fun back in funeral now wouldn't it?
          HA

Seriously, you KNOW Floydie's seen GGG a few times by now. He knows he'd be flattened in no time by him. Don't EVER expect Floydie to grow a set... especially at this stage.

And BTW, enough of this talk of GGG not having a set of stones if he won't wilt down to Floydie's demands in weight. That's pure b.s. A Man's size is his size. If you think otherwise, you merely concede Floydie needs a crutch to win. End of story.

This proves that you hate Mayweather more than you like Pacquiao.

Somehow,I don't see Floyd being able to take gggs punches, even if the fight was at 154-155. Ggg would just cut off the ring on him (which he can),and he'd maul him to the body, and take his head off with uppercuts and hooks. At this point nearing 40,Floyd should just fight Khan, and ride off into the sunset undeafeted, instead of getting into the ring with a guy who tears through middleweights like butter.

All Floyd can do is talk mess about Golovkin, that's it. He doesn't have the guts to actually fight him.

Why don't you pep talk ggg into growing balls to fight Ward or Lara? NAAAAWWWW he doesn't want those issues.

                      Floyd will never fight Golovkin.

And rightfully so. Gennady stops Mayweather at 54 or 60.
He's just too big and hits too damn hard whilst cutting the ring off like no other in boxing atm. He'd catch Floyd.
