This is not a catchweight, genius. This is a division, which Floyd is the Linear Champ, and to which they guy said he could make to fight Floyd. The only stipulation is something boxers used to do, same day weigh in.

I'd bet anything you want that that isn't true. It is ridiculous to think there is any weight Mayweather could fight Kovalev at. Not at all comparable to requesting a fight with GGG.

Is Floyd hinting at 148-150 pound catchweight for GGG when he is saying at my weight now? The only catchweight I would find acceptable is maybe 157. I don't think GGG should go down to 154 or lower.

He shouldn't be trying to fight ww! Man up and fight Ward or Lara! Preferably Ward they will be closer to the same weight come fight night. But Ward would lift his skirt up so we won't see that... and ggg fans will have excuses why it doesn't make financial sense as if they are getting a piece of the pie.

To answer your question any solid chinned, volume punching pressure fighter with a reach advantage on Floyd. Margarito and Williams of about 10 years ago, for starters. I think they'd be anathema to Floyd's amateurish point scoring style. Think Maidana, but not 5'7" with a short reach. Even that bloated 140 lber landed well over 200 punches on Floyd in the first fight.

I think he'll carefully choose his last opponent and bow out. A great fighter with a great resume. A top 20 to 30 ATG. Massive accomplishments. But that 0 at the end of his record came with carefully chosen opponents. It is what it is.

If Floyd fought GGG anywhere above 154 and won at this point in his career I think he probably eeks into most peoples top 5 all time lists... i domn't see it happening and I don't blame him and don't think anyone else can really expect him to do it ... but if he did... WOW get your popcorn ready. Floyd would be walking into the ring an underdog for the first time in years and rightfully so.

Nah, I'd honestly give Mayweather props for taking the fight at all. He'd deserve respect for taking on a risk he doesn't need to take, win or lose. If Mayweather gets a clear decision over GGG (or gets a stoppage), I might even have to call Mayweather TBE.
