Wilder won't drop the belt. Wlad will want to fight him pretty quick after Fury in a unification bout..

Think logically here for a second. If you had to pick a fighter from the past to easily destroy Wilder early would you go for Mike Tyson or Larry Holmes? Bonus points for answering without turning to hatred.

So now you're saying Povetkin is Mike Tyson? Ooooookkkaaayyy

I would flip it around. What kind of fighter would you pick to beat a fighter with a 75" reach, slow feet, little to no jab effectiveness, who wants to charge his opponent and fight inside to land hooks?

I would pick a long, rangy, jab fighter with good mobility who can frustrate the smaller fighter and tire him but popping him everytime he tries to get inside. Lo and behold what do we have here?

Have they even tried to contact them? You guys are the champion, fight the man.

A compact tight powerful counter puncher. Someone like Stiverne ironically.

Wilder's footwork and inside fighting is awful and he is massively out strengthened by Povetkin so he can't even rough him up in the clinch. An aggressive top class come forward fighter is going to destroy Wilder. Hell even the current Arreola could crush him. Look at the success the God awful Molina had plodding forward occasionally while only throwing one or two punches at a time. A fast precise combination punching wizard like Povetkin is going to have a field day. Team Wilder can clearly see this too.

Well he'll probably fight Arreola in September. We'll see how that fight goes. That will give us a better indication how Povetkin would go. Also I would note that Molina is a 2" taller and outreaches Sasha by 4-5". I would agree that Wilder's walking straight back can get him into trouble and that will need to be corrected, but by the same token Sasha was absolutely obliterated by Wlad's jab. I guess you didn't notice that the guy you picked to beat Sasha is NOTHING like the guy who actually DID beat him. Sasha kills guys like you mentioned..

Wilder started gassing out in Molina's fight. That wilder vs Povetkin, I'd say Pov takes the win.

But the Wilder vs Stiverne, it's close as hell with Wilder having the edge IMO. But Carlos Takam was keeping up for a while, so did Huck. As rounds passed by, they started gassing out... while Povetkin keeps hammering them with uppercuts, swings, all in the inside game. Wilder was gassing out a bit in Molina's fight... The only person that can batter and slowdown povetkin is Wlad. Wilder is nowhere near as technical or skilled as Wlad.

It's gonna be the best HW fight in a LONG time, no doubt about it. Molina rocked Wilder with his punches lol, wobbled around quite a bit. Imagine Povetkin? I know for a fact Povetkin is much more powerful

Povetkin is not known as a real power puncher, in fact Molina is. Povetkin's real asset is he is relentless and pushes hard not so much some sort of power..

If Wlad and Wilder begin negotiations in late Sep before the deadline, Povetkin is on hold, just the way the rules work.

Heck even Tyson Fury tweeted to Wilder not to fight Povetkin and to wait until after he strips Wlad and then they can fight. Everyone knows which side the bread is buttered.

Wilder loses nothing by waiting to fight Povetkin and gains nothing by rushing to fight him. Better to let things play out and see if he can get a title shot in 2016. If not, he'll fight Povetkin and make a bunch of money doing it..
If Klitschko somehow gets past Fury, he has to fight another mandatory in Glazkov. WBC president Sulaimon said that a Klit-Wilder can only happen in 2017 at the earliest. There is no way that Wilder can fight Klitschko before having to fight his mandatory Povetkin.
