What does Ward's past accomplishments have to do with him ducking GGG?

In case you didn't know somehow GGG has been trying to fight the best elite opponent Ward has beat, and even on Froch's home turf.

Let's go by facts instead of assumptions like "has been trying". Just a one word answer please:


Which one from the two fighters fought and beat elite opponents in their prime?
A: Ward
B: Golovkin

I go by the logic that in a situation like this when I have to choose which one I should believe I go with the more proved fighter because he didn't "tried to" make big fight but actually proved that he isn't scared of elite opponents. So while I don't call any of them a duck I think if you already must to do it you shouldn't call the only one of them a duck who proved that he can beat elite opponents. It's just not logical.

Ward had a lay off I don't know when people will get this in their mind, he couldn't dodge anyone because he didn't fight anyone. Now after a long lay off it's natural that he gets a tune up. He is criticized because his tune up while Golovkin is praised for feasting on the likes of Geale or Rubio.

If Ward goes up to 175 to fight Kovalev, Golovin and his more biased fans here will look very-very dumb. Even dumber than now.

Lol I like both these guys. But we'll see what Andre says back about GGG saying yes and him saying no at the time. Ward has A LOT of ring rust to knock off. I rarely think it's the fighters that can't get the fights made. It's all these jabronies wearing the suits making things difficult by thinking about their own pockets instead of the fans. I forget the exact details, but Manny Steward told some great story about--was it Hearns and Hagler or 2 fighters meeting at a diner to get the fight made a long time ago bc the suits couldn't agree. He said that's the way things should be, and how easy it was. And whereas I know there's a lot of behind the scenes facets, Oscar is one of the few people I'm enjoying out there right now trying to get fights made.

Ward haven't fought for one and a half years, ha has an injury and promotional issues. Pretty good "excuses". I like how Golovkin gets pass for everything from you based on "it's not his fault" but you put Ward on blast based on he "ducks" someone when he didn't even fight for a long time.
And yes it's not odd that a fighter from a lay off like that comes back with a tune up fight. And especially Golovkin fans shouldn't criticize Ward for the Paul Smith fight.
Before you go wild and yell "ducking" take you time and look at the differences between the two guys' accomplishments. You will see a difference.

I remember when last time we had a loud mouth, aggressive fan base yelled "duck" at a certain fighter... At the end of the day their favourite beat the so called duck. Oh wait... no he didn't and that aggressive, mouthy fan base almost completely disappeared since then. They either went with the new fashion and transformed to Golovkin fans or they just simply went away.

Ward had his lawyer send the email to HBO to read after Golovkin/Rubio "He’ll fight him anywhere, anyplace, and anytime." Come 2015, no injuries, no promoter issues, and suddenly he needs tune ups. What happened to anyplace, anytime? And you guys keep bringing up the "154-168" crap........

Ward has said so many hypocritical things that you can easily Google on the internet it's absurd. He didn't want to go to the UK and fight Froch, Golovkin is still waiting for Froch to give him that same chance.

Ward had a golden opportunity given to him with Super Six, where he made sure he had all his fights in California, save the final which was pre-determined for Atlantic City. Since then he hasn't challenged himself at all! Turns down Bute, signs to fight Pavlik, tries & cries about fighting Chavez, weight drains Dawson after saying he'd move up for the right fight.

No one's dis*****g their resumes. Ward was fortunate to get fights with Kessler, Bika, Abraham, and Froch. Golovkin's tried to make fights with Kessler and Froch. He tried getting fights with Martinez, Sturm, Pirog, and Quillin to no avail. Golovkin's best two wins were Geale & Murray. It took him over a year to get each of those guys to finally fight him.

I could careless about Pac. Dig up my posts before the fight was made, I said I didn't want it to happen because Pac was an underdog before and now faded. Stephen Edwards had been saying that same thing would happen.

I don't really care about fighters' personality and out of ring tactics. I don't like when they are ducking other guys but that's all.
I don't care that Stevenson was a pimp, I don't care that Mayweather beat his wife I don't care that Kovalev is racist, I don't care if Ward has too much ego sometimes because it has nothing to do with the sport itself. If a guy do something really horrible or act like a full moron I won't be a fa of him maybe even dislike him but I won't call him a "duck" ad I won't try to downgrade his achievements.
With that being said to me Ward seems like an intelligent, well spoken guy who has a little too big ego sometimes but otherwise doesn't fear of any challenges. At this point I only can laugh at the opinions about him ducking Golovkin.
After he beat a prime Kessler ad prime Froch he would duck Golovkin? Bitch please...

Say what you want but Ward is a proven elite fighter with a good resume and GGG has a career made of knocking out nobodys. This is true no disrespect to golovkin
