Cuban school of boxing is basically designed to hit and not get hit. It's a high mobility style made for the amatures in which a fighter works behind a strong accurate jab,and follows it up with the occasional hard punch. Notice how Cuban fighters mostly aim for the head, and rarely target the body ,and will rarely go in for the kill. This is how they can have 300+ amature bouts, because they're mostly chess matches in which they take varry little damage, and each fight helps them refine their style. Sadly, this style is not appealing for the professional level, because they can outbox other boxers fairly easy, which leads to lackluster fights (Lara vs Smith,Lara vs trout). The only way to counter the Cuban school of boxing,is to have a pressure fighter, with a high work rate, who can cut off the ring, and has a decent pop. This makes the Cuban fighter work far more than they're used to,and they might make mistakes they normally wouldn't. (Lara getting dropped twice by angulo)

Because a lot of them can't or refuse to adapt to the professional fighting system and fight like amateurs their whole careers. It's understandable because there is no pro boxing in Cuba but at the same time some of these guys should take a hint. However don't blame the customers for demanding more entertainment from their hard earned money.

How Ignorant are some Boxing Fans" Boxing Media, Broadcasters and Networks which mostly consist of people who never put on a pair of ***ing gloves to try and tell guys who dominated every level of boxing to "Change Your Style"
The Cubans are literally toying with people in the World Series of Boxing, I don't think as a team they have lost a match yet this season. Why would they turn pro and change anything? Even in the Pros the way they box most can't defeat it without the hell of Corrupt Judges so again why change? Lara and Rigondeaux is suppose to make things easier for their opponents? That is not how Boxing Works! Sorry but it is a lot of Pros especially these up and coming fighters who decided to skip gaining that Amateur and Olympic Experienced and turned Pro very young and is just "learning on the job", but they're not trained to box properly. So yeah Lomencheko, GGG, Kovalev, Rigondeaux, Lara have success easily and quickly because they Properly trained and ready for all styles because they've seen all styles. While American Fighters we have guys who are 27-28 years old still taking TBA matches and still "Developing As A Fighter" it is funny but embarrassing at the same time.
So the boos is out of Ignorance and a **** attention span. People don't understand what they're watching and they're too occupied with other things to appreciate at 12 Round Boxing Lesson. I would probably be like that too if I was a Casual.Last edited by sicko; 06-13-2015, 08:16 PM.

Casamayor and Gamboa had some pretty exciting fights, Rigondeaux and Lara have a different style of fighting, which I like as well. Rigondeaux has some pop in that straight left hand which made Donaire back pedal in that 12th and final round.

I highly doubt that that many people have something against cubans in general but seems like everytime a cuban boxer fights the place gets restless and boos them.
