And the best part is he'll likely have a huge weight advantage over his opponent when they step into the ring. Smells like another cheat job like the one Broner pulled when he was planning to move up a couple of years ago.

Didn't he get sick though? I recall that he was scheduled to fight earlier but they had to push for a later date.

One report said he caught the flu and another one said he gained a ton of weight over the holidays and couldn't get down in time.

Now he has a fighter for Felix Verdejo to fight. If Walters moves to 130 pounds.

Why not have a pretend weigh in 3 days before the offivial?

Bearcat asks why not have your fighter weigh in unofficially 3 days before the official weigh in to check on the weight. How about an enema to lose weight?? is that legal for a fighter to get an enema?

He was always a huge 126 pounder so I am not surprised. Wonder if he tried to make it again for Loma.

Gotta little taste of that money thats what happened. He had an 8 month lay off? Or 8 months to make weight? I see the latter

Disappointing but not surprised. Walters is way to inactive for a fighter in his prime. Bad enough that he's really a lightweight. It's really ashame it's becoming so common theme now with the fighters, they don't really get busy til their 30+ and on the downside of their prime. Walters need to be fighting 3-4 times a year minimum!

Guys like GGG and Kovalev didn't get their shot (break) until their 30's, that's why they're barely fighting as much as they can now. Not saying you're trying to diss them, but there is guys that have to wait a long time to finally get their shot and the ones that get their shot early just waste it away. Guys like Walters and Lomachenko should be fighting 3-4 times a year minimum like you said!!
