Still not convinced Floyd fights in September. He booked MGM, but he could cancel no problem.

No. Canelo would Kirkland Bundrage and it's not that big of fight. Any fight with Canelo in it will draw in lots of fans but this fight couldn't compete with Mayweather's last fight.

That's an interesting prediction (i.e. Floyd not fighting on Sep 12)...
... it has a point, though...

So you're saying Canelo is still a JMW fighting a MW, but the only MW he is willing to fight is Cotto, yet he won't be doing that...

As crazy and as dumb as that sounds, I can actually see it happening.

            There is no agenda.

If i was HBO i wouldnt help showtime one bit.

I would put canelo vs k-9 or vs rosado
and add mathysse vs postol and even two prospects vs each other . Put it on at 7pm
pacific time. Its a business. Regular hbo and hurt my competitors numbers

Mexicans argenteanans eastern euros would tune in the HBO. Its a business.

Floyds fight would be on ppv and go from 750k to likely 500k

We're exactly 3 months away with no announcement on the horizon, no buzz, no exciting opponent. Additionally fans are fatigued from the May/Pac let down, and finally I'm sure Mayweather himself is mentally fatigued from completing such an enormous event. He's under no immediate time restrictions, Showtime would allow him to complete his contract in the first half of next year.

Eddie Hearn is putting on an a major event in the UK that day (an earlier time than a US tv event would occur). He says he wants Kell Brook & James DeGale to do a double header, with one of them in a major fight. I say we're more likely to see Golovkin/DeGale (sounds like Rios is a no go for Brook) on early in the day on HBO and maybe Alvarez in a tune up at night with the Golovkin replay.

On regular HBO, yea, it would affect it. Maybe not in an astronomical way, but it probably will

Would that hurt floyd vs anyone on showtime ppv?
Huge Canelo fan, and him fighting K9 would be a massive let down by my standards. That would not hurt Mayweathers #'s either. That's a throw away fight. I'd rather Clottey than K9.

It wouldn't have any major effect. People will just switch channels. Th main events will be at different times.

I heard that DeGale will fight Bute next...
