He got paid to make weight so he couldn't compete! He did his job standing up for 10 or 12 minutes and then he didn't have to go to the ER or have surgeries!
This fight was as bad as a "fixed fight" because thats exactly what it was.
Why fans buy this garbage is beyond me I guess they simply don't know any better.
You'll see these same guys fight hard to get to the top ten pr top five but after they accomplish what they want they move on as opponents and pick up the pennies. Its the old ushering in the new except it's a few old holding on and getting away with it with the "modern day fixed fight"!
Once again Boxing takes a punch in the face but the young fans don't even know whats going down!!

Especially with the canelo v cotto fight on the horizon it does make sense to think that it was fixed.

I like to go to local shows where recently turned pros beat the crap out of each other. 90% of the time fights between unknown people are way more action packed than seasoned fighters. I understand that this is a sport, bussines and the people put their lives on the line... but c'mon, he wasn't in that much trouble.
It just seems to me like he was just trying to get out. The first knockdown was preceded by a headbutt (watch it slow) and then a good left. He was still shaky and the 2nd knockdown was not from really clear punches. He got up, eyes where good, fully aware.. and then he just quit.
It's maybe because i'm mexican and that's the way most mexicans fight, but i just don't like to see fighters quiting that easily. I'm not saying to be reckless and ****** (aka Margarito style) but to a certain level you should strive for victory.
What if JMM had quit against pacquiao after the 2nd knockdown in the first fight? And now he's a millionaire. Anyway, what a let down.
