Bums and cripples,coming from a keyboard warrior. Give respect where its due. Cotto stepped up and fought Rodriguez, most people thought he had no chance. Then he fights Geale, GGG's best opponent yet, and stops him in basically the same amount of time weighing 153 pounds. Canelo is young and still has a great future,but we all know he should have two losses. He was gifted the Lara fight. Canelo would lose decisively to Cotto.

We don't all know that clown. Love how you think you're the expert speaking on behalf of everyone. Lara never came to fight with Canelo, back pedaling and sliding along the ropes all night. And you an idiot because Cotto is the most recent thing you've seen that impressed you. Although Cotto did look good, you need drug tested if you think he beats Canelo period, let alone decisively. Cotto reborn? He got schooled and embarrassed by Trout, the last quality opponent he faced. The same Trout that Canelo dropped and beat. Since the Cotto faced a bum in Rodriguez and cripple in Martinez and a bum in Geale. He's not reborn just looks better as a result of careful match making. He has a different trainer than with Trout and really, if Canelo is better since Floyd why can't Cotto be after Trout and with a new trainer?

Anybody except a GGG hater knows that Cotto gets destroyed by GGG. Freddy Roach knows it and so does Cotto. 'Golovkin is the No. 1 contender for the WBC title and the mandatory challenger, although WBC president Mauricio Sulaimon has said he is willing to make an exception for Cotto to fight Canelo Alvarez if he beats Geale. One condition for that exception, however, is that both Cotto and Alvarez must guarantee they will fight Golovkin next if they win.

Cotto does not appear enamored with that stipulation, and there is speculation he'd rather drop the WBC belt and fight Alvarez in a non-title bout if need be rather than face Golovkin.

Based on your post you can include yourself with the very same people you are degrading. While there are a few here who are insane Cotto fans, the majority who post positive things about him are accurate in they're assessments. You easily reveal your lack of knowledge in boxing like many people on this site because the "skill" of boxing, and how to recognize it eludes you. Anyone who has the eyes for it can see subtle but glaring changes that have them excited about Cotto's resurgence. Cotto's timely movement, footwork, shoulder defense, using angles,turning opponent, positioning opponent, turning over his punches, keeping his eyes on his opponent, controlling of distance. These are things that have all improved for Cotto.

Will it translate to a victory over Canelo? I say yes, Cotto is the more skilled fighter even before he linked up with Roach, while Canelo's advantages are simply age. Canelo is not a pressure fighter, he doesnt move forward, he doesnt cut the ring, he is flat and slow footed, when he throws his combos they are fast but he stands straight up and he doesnt move after, which will leave him open to whatever Cotto throws back. Cotto pretty much just knocked out a cruiserweight, so if you think he cant hurt Canelo you are sadly mistaken.

Will Cotto defeat GGG? My answer is no, however it would not surprise me if Cotto won. In the end most likely GGG is to big and will eventually overpower Cotto. Like in the Canelo fight, Cotto is the more skilled fighter, he definitely has the best chance to defeat GGG compared to GGG's previous competition, but the two advantages GGG has (size, and punching power) usually results in a loss for the opponent.

Anyone who completely dismisses Cotto as a threat, obviously bias, hating, lacks knowledge, fill in whatever...... If you just dont like Cotto admit it and move on.
