Comments Thread For: Geale Admits That Even Making 160 Has Been Tough

Australian boxer Daniel Geale is used to travelling half a world away from home, entering enemy territory and being at the mercy of his opponent's promoters, handlers and US TV networks.

"I'm not expecting any favours this weekend either," Geale told AAP on Tuesday.

The Tasmanian-born, Sydney-based Geale will be the written-off underdog when he steps into the ring in New York's Barclay's Center on Saturday to challenge WBC middleweight champion Miguel Cotto.

Sounds like GGG beat a drained Geale... Shame on Geale fighting smaller guys like GGG.

As much as I'm hoping Geale knocks Cotto out this weekend, I have to say, if this is the case then you're a moron Geale. If 160 was tough then you're going to be dead at 157. I hate that Cotto is forcing the catchweight but you accepted it so shut up.

Of course,it was brilliant how they specifically placed the camera strap there in order for geale to trip up. And if you look really closely at the 3rd round KO,golovkin didn't actually hit him,it was the camera strap! Geale only shook his head to the ref because he thought that the ref had asked "did you find the camera strap guy?".

Why is Cotto asking for a 157 CW against Geale for goodness sake. If he managed to get 1 pound of GGG I could sort of let that slide but Geale??? Seems feeble minded.

And yet he agreed to fight at 157... Shut the **** up and be a professional like Cotto was. No one made Geale sign anything, he should be a man and live up to his expectations. Him and his team bringing it up is a ready made excuse, he didn't have for GGG and it was okay. Losing to Cotto though, a former JWW... no way he can lose without some excuse to save his emotions. He sounds like a lot of desperate forum posters.

Cotto only winning because of da catchweight doe.
Cotto only beat Sergio because of da knee doe.

All this complaining about how bad it is for the sport and you will all still watch.

So Cotto is gonna' go 2 years out of the ring if Geale can't make the weight??

He's trying to one up Ward or something?
