That's an optimistic spin on a disappointing performance. There was a time that I thought Khan could be great. The speed and power he showed in the first few rounds against Maidana had me thinking, for a few brief moments, that he could be better than Pacquiao. The second half of that fight shattered the illusion.

Khan has reached his ceiling and will never be truly elite. He's great at some things, but ultimately too vulnerable. I see his punch resistance diminishing over time rather than improving. Brook would bust him up, and Floyd could walk him down and knock him out . . . if he wanted to. A few months ago, Khan talked about facing Cotto at 154. A jab from Cotto would murder him.

Hunter sould be satisfied that Con's new ans improvoved chin survived. The onslaught of knockout artis Chris Algeiri. Now let's go for Thurman?

ya plus people have to give consideration that these guy who have weak chins and are wobbled have to have more of an affect on their brain. like khan getting clocked and wobbled probably has long term affects more so then the normal fighter. I think khan looked good against alexander and fast and all that but i think alexander fought exactly how khan needs a fighter to fight to look great. He basically said after the fight they picked algeiri thinking he would fight off the back foot and when he didnt he was a bit shocked. I dont know i hate to say khan is losing his speed already but i mean its possible with all the times hes been hurt in his career. Plus moving up in weight affects speed. Well see what happens i just dont think khan has any chance against mayweather besides a robbery or mayweather having a bad injury or aging over night.

He didnt wobble? Look at his fkin legs once he gets hit. I cant believe some of you are giving him props lol. Khan has a **** chin. There's no question about it. And he was hurt by Algieri. There's no questioning that either.

It appears Freddy "The Joke" Roach has finally passed the mantle because Zhunter has become the new joke trainer.

It's not surprising because the same thing happened to Khan's punch resistance when he initially moved up to 140 - he got hit by Maidana's best shots and didn't even go down for gods sake. But he got weight-drained there so moved up to 147. Now the same thing has happened - his punch resistance is at a good level again.

As most know, punch resistance can be directly connected to weight draining. Just look at Manny Pacquiao being knocked out early in his career purely because he was weight-drained. But when Manny moved up in weight his punch resistance became almost legendary.

The notion that Khan now has an iron chin

I thought i was watchin Khan vs Kovalev

yea they were talking about that on the boxingvoice last night

jdj said algieri packs a punch, but had spent his career fighting on the backfoot instead of coming forwards and planting his feet and sitting on his punches

i guarantee chris next fight he will score a tko against someone
