Floyd Mayweather Jr vs Amir Khan - Sept 2015 - Who Win?

As the number one ranked WBC contender for Floyd's belt, Amir Khan is preparing to shock the world in September against the P4P number one fighter in the world. In a fight that could fill out Wembley Stadium in the UK with 80,000 people (and Floyd said he always wanted a big fight in the UK), if the fight gets made who do you think walks away victorious?

Best chance of Floyd getting a legitimate KO since Hatton.

Floyd should absolutely destroy him, the difference in skill level is monumental. But Mayweather being Mayweather, it wouldn't surprise me if he played it safe

Khan has fast hands but slow defence and ring IQ. He cannot avoid left hooks and looping rights to save his life. Even the handspeed is fading, not that it ever played a significance in this fight.

My friend was asking "who ran more, Khan or Floyd."

I told him if they do fight, Floyd would walk down Khan and knock him out.

Come on. His name doesn't deserve to be seen beside Floyd's.

No one wants to see this fight other than Khan's fans. You can't make a fight when the majority of the boxing world wants to see both guys lose. Khan needs to fight a big puncher like Thurman or Brook, then he can talk ****. Floyd shouldn't reward this clown the last fight.

Khan's never been down from a punch at the full 147 limit, his punch resistance looks to be fairly decent now (probably better than average punch resistance at least), just like when he first moved up to 140 and beat Maidana.

But Floyd does throw a mean straight right at times so it's not impossible he could get a stoppage through accumulation, like he did with Hatton.

On the other hand, Khan is much faster and trickier than Hatton so it might not be as easy to catch him as you think. Algieri did early on but Khan adjusted to it quickly enough.

Probably because he's fought no one that can punch at 147.
