they killed the entire traditional pageantry/ceremony of the sport. Now looks like some whack ass reality tv gimmick.

The presentation was bad, it felt like the presentation level an unlicensed boxing match where there are much lower budgets.

I agree. HBO and SHO production are much better. As a fan it's nice to see semi-quality matchups on free television but it really does suck compared to premium cable productions.

It seems like they are trying to reach out to a new audience and change things up from the usual boxing show, but in my opinion, it doesn't work for a boxing event and actually less entertaining.

The ring walks on the show don't create any sense of suspense and anticipation and i think that rubs off onto the audience and atmosphere in the crowd. It's feels like a conveyer belt of fight after fight. It all seems kind of rushed. I understand it's geared towards gaining fans from our modern life which is everyone wanting everything instantly but i think in this case it's not really working.

I respect that they're putting boxing on TV and giving us some good fights but i think the production could be tweaked to give a bigger sense of occasion.

In all honestly, i think it's production and entrances make good fighters seem like...i dunno, kind of amateur tv show fighters. I just think it's whole production is doing the boxers themselves a disservice.

Honestly I haven't seen the last few, I was busy. This one though I completely forgot about. I think the last one I saw was Lee/Quillin.

Yup. I'm rooting for it because it's on network TV and gives fans more access to the sport. But yeah, it's clearly missing that part of the sport that you mentioned. And I get that the inside the ring action is what we watch for -- but the atmosphere is also a very key ingredient, make no mistake. And it lacks that in a major way. That's why for me, premium cable is and always will be the top way to view the sport.

Only weird thing about PBC is the undercard fights come on after the main events. It's been 3 fights since DeGale/Dirrell.

This is spot on. I suppose it's really diffacult when considering commercials and everything but the ring entrances are awful.

The Spike cards have always presented better than the NBC ones. It's like NBC is going for classy and Spike is going for FIGHTS.
