Comments Thread For: R. Mayweather: Floyd's Hands Were Hurt, Prevented KO

Roger Mayweather, uncle and co-trainer of WBC/WBO/WBA welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr., says his nephew was struggling a bit in most recent training camp because both of his hands were hurting him.

Mayweather has a very long history of dealing with hand problems. He would often receive injections in his hands to deal with the pain.

Roger revealed the information due to the current spotlight being shined on Manny Pacquiao's right shoulder injury.

Mayweather won a twelve round unanimous decision over Pacquiao on May 2nd from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. After the match he disclosed that he suffered a right shoulder injury a month before the contest and then further injured himself during the fight. Pacquiao had surgery last Wednesday. Why are Floyd's and Pacquiao's teams still promising KOs, when neither fighter have scored it for years ?
      They are both decision-ists now...

Did Floyd even throw a punch with KO intentions on it throughout the entire fight?

It was easy to tell Mayweather wasn't sitting on the shots for a reason. This fight is now only about the money and nothing else. They will use the injury excuses for Manny then talk about how Manny lost to Morale and came back with a vengeance. The public will buy it hoping to see Floyd losing. WHAT they don't know is Manny will get beat worse because he doesn't change.

I never fell for the KO hype, same thing happened before the Maidana fights with talk of him pushing for the stoppage.

He's got enough pop to get people's respect combined with great timing but he's just not a concussive puncher.

Floyd got booed because he beat people's favourite fighter. They tried to spin Pacquiao as a man who cares for poor people and reads his bible. They didn't mention his ******** and womanising so when he got beat like a bumper after claiming God would deliver Floyd into his hands it's only natural for people to hate Mayweather. All those people bought the fight expecting to see Floyd lose so they hate Floyd

Lol @ 'you need to start going to his mother****ing body'

Roger's corner advice is hilarious, the Ortiz fight was my favourite.

Thanks Uncle Roger now even though I bet on Floyd to win and won my avi bet.

I will now sue Floyd for not disclosing his injury which didn't allow him to fight at 100% ability. I feel I lost out on more than a punk @ss $100 and wasn't given the show I heard all of the TMT members talking about during the lead up to this fight. I was lead to believe that Floyd was going into this fight at 100% of his ability and now I feel defrauded because both fighters lied.

Anybody want to join my lawsuit we stand a better chance if we can make it a class action case??!!
