Originally posted by Motofan View PostI know its Floyd, but he has looked worse against some guys (Marcos comes to mind) than he should have because I feel he took them lightly. He runs the risk of having a foot out the door already and just not getting motivated for the fight. Last fight and he could throw it all away by getting caught with a GARSH or something. Unlikely, but you hear fighters mention it can be difficult to get up for smaller fights after big events.
I think with the Maidana 1 fight Floyd told everyone before the fight he was going to make it more exciting and that's what happend ( Part of me thinks it was a little bit Of one upsmanship to Broner ) 2nd fight he fought his fight made it easier work .

Only way i would buy Floyd/MAnny rematch is if Canelo/Cotto is on the undercard but thats not gonna happen
Floyd went on to break records in selling.
But whatever, why look at facts, you know?

No other fight compares to that fight in financial terms and things will not be put aside for a regular fight.

Besides the lineal title, one reason I want Mayweather-Cotto 2 is to witness the mass menstraul cycle of the delusional losers that post on this forum. Mayweather would eliminate Golovkin and Canelo's most profitable option. Leaving Canelo to duck Golovkin and Golovkin to duck Ward, while all the delusional faggots defend it at every turn.

Considering how much money Showtime / CBS is going to make off Mayweather vs Pac after all is said and done....
Don't be surprised if Floyd's swan song is on....
One thing I think we've all learned over the years with Floyd is he's always got a trick or two up his sleeve. They know they've exhausted every big fight they could make, so why not give back to the fans who dished out $100 last May and put the fight on Network TV? Showtime likely made the money they would've made in 3 Floyd PPVs, and adding sponsors that would get behind his final fight, I wouldn't be shocked at all if that's the plan.
As for Cotto and Canelo, that fight isn't going to happen in Sept. Cotto's not going to jump right into another training camp, especially against Canelo. They got time to sell the fight for Nov / Dec being Pacquiao's not gonna fight in Novemeber now. I don't see the whole point of the Mexican Independence date. Those same people who will go see Canelo will still go see him in Nov / Dec.Last edited by RL_GMA; 05-13-2015, 12:32 PM.
