I think a rematch would be great.

I would really like to see if Mayweather can actually make adjustments this time. The May 2 fight, Mayweather couldn't adjust to Manny's left hand counter so he resorted to dancing around the ring. He also couldn't properly time the check hook when Manny came in.

Granted, Manny couldn't get the body shot he was looking whenever he made Floyd miss the check hook. A rematch is something to look forward to because hopefully one of them will finally be able to score that shot clean that neither guy was really able to score on each other.

It would be a darn shame if the rivalry goes down in history as a points victory for Floyd by virtue of sporadic jabs and a failure to outshine Juan Manuel Marquez.

Mayweather had more success landing his check hook than Manny did landing body shots. I think Floyd beat Manny more convincingly than Marquez did in the first three fights. But nothing could ever surpass that brutal KO

        I disagree.

The check hook simply wasn't working very well for Mayweather. He did land it occasionally, but overall, Manny simply made Mayweather miss the check hook exponentially more times than Mayweather landed it.

Floyd's check hook was about as effective as the body shot Manny tried to land whenever he slipped the check hook. It was basically a non factor throughout the fight.

Mayweather's best punch throughout the fight was his jab. It didn't do much damage and it probably didn't bother Pacquiao too much, but, Mayweather used it to rack up points and it worked in getting him the W.

Floyd only performs better in rematches and I'm sure he has Manny's rhythm figured out by now. If the first fight was 9 to 3 the rematch will be 11 to 1.

At 37 years of age, limited mobility in one arm, inactive for a year, and being the smaller man having lost the first fight... Manny would have little to no chance in the rematch.
yep, if his injury is real which i'm certain it is, he's done as an A-level guy, injuries suck. ask sergio martinez, er...nvm. he was 100% vs cotto

This is how you deal with come forward fighters...land the jab. You been around this long and still don't understand this? If Manny cant deal with the jab, one of the most basic punches in boxing he needs to retire. It bothered Manny a lot otherwise he would have got off more when he came forward. Not referring to you now but the Boxing IQ on this website is horrible. Manny does not have the footwork to deal with Mayweather period. End of story. Torn shoulder or not. Now let's build up the next boogie man for floyd in Sept.

His straight right was the best shot. It was sharp, crisp, and kept Manny at bay for most of the fight

Mayweather's jab didn't bother Pacquiao at all. In fact, Pac's best work in the fight was the result of him being able to time and parry Floyd's jab in order to land his straight left counter.

Mayweather's jab didn't stop Pacquiao from coming forward. Mayweather didn't even use his jab to set up other shots. The only thing he used his jab for against Pacquiao was to rack a couple points here and there to ensure he would be up on the scorecards. It worked. It stole him some rounds. He'd land a jab or two every 40 seconds or so and it was enough to give him the round.

Judging from your conviction on boxing IQ, you know the jab is not intended and never was intended for score card victories. But, Floyd knows the rules of the sport, he knows the scoring system well and he knows how to work the Olympic approach to professional fighting to his favor.

It's all downhill from here. Floyd took whatever heart 48 had left. Unless they pair him with JWWs or sub par WWs, he will continue to decline.

                    He's been damaged psychology.
