Comments Thread For: Amir Khan: Algieri is a Very Dangerous Fight For Me

Amir Khan (30-3, 19KOs) is not overlooking the challenge of Chris Algieri, the former WBO junior welterweight champion, when they collide on May 29th at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. The fight will headline a Premier Boxing Champions events on Spike TV.

Khan has his eyes set on facing WBO/WBA/WBC welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. in September. He says a loss to Algieri would wipe away that dream for good.

"Winning this fight is everything to me. I'm not looking past this Chris Algieri fight. I know it's a very dangerous fight for me. Stylistically he's very dangerous and I'm not going to be looking past it. If I do, I'll have made a mistake," Khan said.

There is just something about these 140 pounders that makes them so dangerous, especially this pillow fisted one coming off a loss. I can now see why Keith Thurman got a little upset recently.

This is all Pacquiao's fault! Khan actually thinks Algeri is a beast because Arum, Roach, and Manny was spittin' that BS when they gave Algeri a shot! Algeri is a joke! Khan would've been better off fighting Errol Spence Jr.!

Khan choice of words is what makes him look foolish, Dangerous? not really, Difficult? more likely.

Dangerous fights are guys who come to take your head off or have power, this is a more tactical style bout with two boxer movers.

Algieri has gotten rid of the nerves, Khan is going to be in for a tactical bout, Algieri has a better trainer now, and hopefully will come to fight this time.

Errol Spence would knock Khan out. FFS He knocked out a future ATG, Adrien Broner.
