He's just saying it but it wouldn't shock me if Algieri boxed him up. Khan is so caught up in getting a big fight that I'm pretty sure he overlooked the guy and could get up staged. I favor Khan to win but it could get real rocky in there for him.

khan hyping up another mismatch. algieri is a decent boxer but doesn't have to pop to hurt khan, even with khans chin.

Khan has his eyes set on facing WBO/WBA/WBC welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. in September. He says a loss to Algieri would wipe away that dream for good.

"Winning this fight is everything to me. I'm not looking past this Chris Algieri fight. I know it's a very dangerous fight for me. Stylistically he's very dangerous and I'm not going to be looking past it. If I do, I'll have made a mistake," Khan said.

If Algieri is a dangerous fight for you, then you should keep Mayweathers name out of your mouth.

Ridiculous comment to justify an obvious cherry-pick.

The only two fights that I can see are.....

Khan/Brook, Mayweather fights the winner. (too late, and Algieri kills either guys chances)

Thurman/Brook, winner will be the best qualified.

He's just saying that he won't let the media get to his head and make him underestimate Algieri, or else he could end up losing everything. It doesn't matter how over-matched your opponent is, never under-estimate him. That's just common sense.

It's dangerous because khan has to look spectacular like he did vs kotelnik or pauli..

If this fight is close or khan gets beat, his stock drops immensely

Khan literally has nothing to gain by beating algieri
