Floyd is right! I watched Pernell Whitaker fight a similar fight against Julio Caesar Chavez with masterful precision. He was only awarded a draw but the vast majority of people feel that Whitaker won.

The bottom-line is that many the casual fan tunes in to see Mayweather get knocked out, and in the process loses all sense of perspective and reality when it doesn't materialize.

For the die-hard boxing fan, and those individuals who have laced up gloves even casually to trade blows, Mayweather's greatness can be appreciated beyond sentiment. For there are only a few fighters who can control an opponent with distance and angles even when the adversary knows these tactics.

Floyd is one in a generation, and he will be missed by boxing in the not to distant future.

Let's be real. Before the fight even happened, Pac fanatics were already waist deep in the "Memo", "PEDs" and "'Roids" claims. If a KO had happened, the accusations Marquez got would've been like pebbles to the boulders that would've been hurled at Mayweather. I pointed out previously the pattern that Pacquiao and his team have had for a long time. Anyone that beats him is NEVER just given credit by Pacquiao, his scummy team or his rabid fanatics. They've given excuses (like the blood tests, gloves and socks for Morales, the shoulder injury against Mayweather), tried to water it down ("lucky punches or allusions to steroids for Marquez) or just flat out denied it happened (like trying to claim a win against Mayweather). THIS and only this is the reason why a rematch is a waste of time. They never had any intention of accepting defeat like honourable men and they won't accept it when the inevitable happens again (Pacquiao loses). They have a built in excuse for another loss: "Pacquiao was never the same after the surgery".
No, Mayweather would't have got credit for KOing or beating Pacquiao because nobody ever does. I don't ever want to hear of Pacquiao being humble or respectful again.

Floyd, you can make fools out of the pay-per-view idiots, but you can't make fools out of boxing experts. Stop trying to get props for fighting worn down fighters and fight the best, ala Lara, Thurman, Brook, the guy that knocked khan out, but that's right, your scared of young guns that pose a threat.
