I'm going to be doing my own compubox review of the fight while watching it closely. I'm only counting clean punches, not punches that hit gloves, shoulders, tickle the nose with no force etc..i'm counting punches. i will have 3 categories jabs, power punches, and body shots. let's see how accurate/inaccurate compubox is. I will also be keep track of the clinches/bending below the waist and other fouls i find but that is for another thread.

Exposing the inaccuracy of Compubox

Round 1
Floyd
Jabs: 3
Power: 4
Body: 1
Pac Jabs: 1
Power: 0
Body : 0
My total:
Floyd: 8
Manny: 1
Compubox:
Floyd=8
Manny=3
Compubox and I have similar totals although they actually gave pac more credit than I. Pac was reaching and not really connecting clean so I couldn't give him credit for clean punches.

Round 4
Floyd
Jabs: 3
Power: 2
Body: 1
Pac
Jabs: 0
Power: 10
Body 8
My total
Floyd 6
Manny 18
Compubox
Floyd 7
Pac 12
Pretty close although I don't think compubox is giving pac credit for a lot of his body shots so maybe that's where the difference is coming from

Where the inaccuracy lies is that the score for PAc was in reality way higher!
Many of those flurrie shots that smashed Floyd's head around through his guard should rightfully be counted imo.
The case would be that Floyd outjabbed PAc but Pac landed more power punches, albeit, not as many "clean" ones from range.
The main reason Floyd was competitive with PAc and able to spoil him in my opinion and all those I was watching with, is simply due to his REACH!
All of this bull**** nonsense about his elaborate defence etc is a bunch of rubbish. Effective use of range over a shorter opponent is what enabled him to survive the fight for a farcial decision win.
