Comments Thread For: Stats: Mayweather Landed a Career Low on Pacquiao

While Manny Pacquiao landed a career low (81 punches) in a twelve round fight, this past Saturday night against Floyd Mayweather Jr. at the MGM Grand, Floyd didn't exactly blow up the CompuBox computer in his decision win either. His 148 landed punches are the fewest he's landed in 18 of his fights that went the 12-round distance. Previous low: 157, vs. Castillo I. Pacquaio also threw a career low 429 punches for a twelve round fight.

Thank you. Maybe now Pacquiao will get a little credit.

So the stats back up what everyone already knew- it was a **** fight.

Looked more like the quarterfinals of a random Golden Gloves tournament instead of the 'fight of the century'.

I don't think it was a **** fight. There was a lot going on there if you know what to look for.

It was two ATG veterans at the tail ends of their careers fighting a chess match.

Both guys were really bad offensively. They landed maybe 5 or 6 hard shots combined.

ROFL pac clowns going to use this as evidence that Floyd didnt embarrass Pacquaio.

Compubox is a joke and the only thing it is good for is for punch output.

Floyd clowned on Pacquaio and made it look easy!

Because their defense was so good. Pacquiao wasn't falling for many of Floyd's traps.

All that stuff that was going on can happen at the same time as actual punches landing.
