    Comments Thread For: Pacquiao, Top Rank Joint Statement on Mayweather Fight

    During training, Manny Pacquiao suffered a right shoulder injury. Manny went to see world-class doctors, partners in the prestigious Kerlan Jobe Orthopedic Clinic, who performed tests and, in consultation with Manny, his promoter, and his advisors, concluded that with short rest, treatments, and close monitoring, Manny could train and, on May 2, step into the ring against Floyd Mayweather.

    Manny’s advisors notified the United States Anti-Doping Agency (“USADA”) of the shoulder injury and the treatments being proposed by the doctors during training and on fight night. USADA spoke to Manny’s doctors twice, investigated, and confirmed in writing that the proposed treatments, if used, were completely allowed. The medication approved for fight night was a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory (Toradol).

    I wouldn't mind a rematch if it was free for everyone on PBC

      Pathetic and desperate. Releasing a full statement because you just lost a fight. So what? it's sport and sometimes there's just a guy who's better than you.

      Deal with it.

            i dont understand this at all. why notify USADA and then not the NSAC? u notify both. NSAC has final say on alll decisions that relate to this matter. Manny and his team have no1 to blame but themselves. its totally their fault and as such, shut up with with excuses.

              Blah, blah, blah. False excuses. Take your loss like a man. Floyd had injuries too.

              Manny was supposed to be a man's man. Showed his true colours. Sore loser.

                this is bull****...

                two things;

                1. this was THE BIGGEST fight of his career and he decides to go thru with it at less than 100%?

                2. why wouldn't they inform NSAC to make sure that they can use it?

                i'm a huge Manny fan but everything coming out of his team after the fight is an embarrassment

                what happened to the humble Manny that accepted getting robbed vs Bradley?

                best to just give Floyd his props and just STFU

                    Now we know why Floyd wouldnt release tickets. he was gonna pull out of the fight himself. Then when the USADA let him in on the injury, the tickets were on sale 5 minutes later. Wow this Floyd guy is a real coward
