The American star claimed a comfortable unanimous points win over Manny Pacquiao in the richest fight in history on Sunday morning.

Now his father and coach Floyd Sr has told him to go for a record equalling 49th win against Khan before retiring.

"I'll tell you what I think he should do in September - given he's fought all the hard-hitters - my son needs to get his contract and end it with an easy fight, he don't need no tough fight," he said.

"Amir Khan, yes that'd be a good fight for him. My son would beat him I know.

"Of course it would be easier than Pacquiao. Amir Khan has a pretty decent jab but all the technical things, he can't do."

I hope this silly fight never takes place for one Khan has done very little to deserve it and it would be a total embarrassment to boxing in what would be a much publicised fight . We all like to see Khan do his silly little dance when someone hits him on the neck but lets see Floyd do it against some that deserves it a little more and not some twat like Khan who everyone at home and away hates !

honestly this is the first time i dont care who floyd fights. Im ok with khan or brook hell i would be ok with him fighting broner. Thurman would be interesting but honestly i would rather see him fight more of a boxer myself and i dont see that fight selling like a khan fight would. Plus i think the fight that needs to be made is thurman and brook they are the 2 guys imo at this time besides mayweather. All the he needs to fight such and such or hes ducking at this point is over he has fought everyone and he will be 39 before he fights again. I would be ok with a pac rematch because of the injury but thats what makes me think the injury is not as bad as they say for the simple fact it seemed like they were directing manny what to say but if pac injury is even half what they say he wont be back to action for at least a year from now and even then hell never be the same. Im ok with khan tho i think it would be an interesting fight im not so sure it would be easier then pac tho but we will see. If your looking for the most entertaining fight im not so sure khan is the answer tho all it will be is khan being super conservative and trying to steal rounds with flurries. Plus mayweather will be trying to walk him down all night with khan circling. I just dont see how that fight ends any other way then at least 10 rounds to mayweather and if khan is aggressive he will get knocked out by a strait right hand.

Floyd snr said that Khan was the harder fight when Floyd was fighting Maidana because he throws all sorts of combinations etc. Now he's saying Khan could be or may not be easier but thinks Khan has a really good jab, but thinks all the "Technical things" he does won't work against Floyd. Snr knows Khans the biggest threat to lil Floyd.

Floyd has nothing to prove now and he deserves an easy fight in September. I wouldn't mind him fighting a punchbag like Khan for his last fight.

Beat Manny, only up and comers worth watching would be Thurman, but I still think Thurman would get beat handily.

At this point rematch Cotto grab the middleweight strap and leave the sport at the highest. Cotto vs Floyd would still sell over 1 mil, his going away fight regardless will still be a big fight.
