please explain what boxing is.....manny said he had a game plan for anything floyd does.i mean floyd did what he always does.roach said he's been training manny for 5 years for this fight.youre just salty.it wasnt even close.manny won 4 rounds at most.floyd was more consistent with his punches,landed more cleaner punches,and more punches overall.and floyd didnt just run,he had his best success from the centre of the ring,keeping manny on the outside....the reason why floyd is so hard to beat,is because he mixes it up in the ring,so you cant get into a rhythm,and figure him out.

As I said his defensive style is effective, but as a sport it makes boxing boring compared to ufc. This is a sport of pugilism and bravado. Floyd's style is a craft that isn't exciting. Wether you want to believe it or not this turned off allot of potential new fans that tuned in today.

Hence, boxing is losing out to UFC. Truth hurts. This fight proves, that being too defensive is distasteful to fans, and they are feeling robbed.

They wanted a super fight. But as expected Floyd won't give that exciting fight coz he really loves to run and duck and it is boring to most.

A super fight like Ali- Frazier was about mano-i-mano. It was exciting, it was to fighters trying to prove their machismo. Floyd didn't even try, he just ran lol

This is really a big blow to boxing. This might be the last super fight of fear that fans will just see a boxer bore them to death again and burn their hard earned money. I think this will be the last of the era of super fights unless, 2 great fighters who aren't defensive minded come clashing in the future. I hope that is the case. IF another Floyd comes along.. LAS VEGAS - Manny Pacquiao said late Saturday night that he dealt with a right shoulder injury during training and it impacted his fight against Floyd Mayweather.

And Mayweather later said he plans to relinquish all his title belts Monday. He said his final fight in September will be a 12-rounder but will not be for a championship.

"Other fights need a chance," Mayweather said and clarified that it might take him a couple weeks to make the move.

Earlier, Pacquiao said an MRI showed he had a tear in his shoulder, something that was not mentioned to the media until after his loss.

"I don't want to make alibis," he said.




Pacquiao said he requested a pain-killing injection before the fight, but Francisco Aguilar of the Nevada Athletic Commission said he turned down the request because the injury had not been disclosed until shortly before the fight.

Pacquiao's trainer, Freddie Roach, said a request for a postponement briefly was considered but he did not feel it was needed because of the progress Pacquiao had made.

Mayweather said he also had injuries during training but did not let them bother him.

"I will always find a way to win," Mayweather said.

Mayweather also said that, had he lost, he would not have used his injuries as an excuse and would have paid respect to Pacquiao.
