I never expected certain posters to have anything positive to say. It's just their nature.

I feel bad that fans invested so much into manny and he repaid them by not even trying to win.

There is no longer a debate about who is better. Turns out the ring vote in my sig was spot on. Floyd is somewhere near the top 10 and manny is far below.

No it isn't. He didn't come to fight. The commissioner told you in the post fight presser it manny and arum lied about notifying them.

      Shameful. Embarrassing. Disgraceful.

The myth that legions of Pacquiao fans built up was exposed to be what a was, a delusion. I was in a room filled with Manny's fans last night, I didn't need to hear Harold Lederman's scorecard, I could see it written all over their faces, and I could hear it, or rather not hear it in their quiet voices.

Noob/Pac-tard here. I scored rds 2,4,6 for pac and 9/10 weren't impressive by either ended up giving one to pac and one to floyd for an unfortunately easy 8-4 win. Have to give the man respect for that. I'd have to learn much more about the sport's history to really be capable of making an ATG list but my estimation is that he'd probably be on my top 30 but not top 10. More certainly I can say he is the best fighter of this generation.

That being said, I am still very disappointed this fight didn't happen in 2010. To be clear, I don't think Pac would necessarily have won then either, but we probably would have seen a better fight from both fighters. But perhaps my biggest disappointment is not that Pacquiao lost, although the butt hurt is real, it's more that most casuals/non-fans were underwhelmed by the fight and won't easily be roped in in the future.

For that matter, the best seem to fight uninteresting fighters often - Lomachenko and Leo Santa Cruz should have fought each other instead of taking on nobodies and I am not looking forward to GGG and Roman Gonzales' next fights. Don't get me wrong, I respect GGG and RG immensely, and the lineup may not be their faults at all, but I am disappointed as a fan wanting to see higher quality matchups.

            rant?

no, this is a great post

I hope Mayweather fights Khan or Thurman next, both of whom I said before would be much better tests for Floyd than Manny

Lots of bitter, salty, and butthurt fans in denial their fighter got nullified, neutralized and dominated in this thread.

He'll, even Freddie Roach is busy cooking up his bitterness comments.

              Stay tuned.

Mayweather landing head punches in the beginning, made Pacquiao think a little more.

                  Mayweather fought his fight.

Manny did not move enough to fight his fight.

Mayweather dominated with points never hurt Pacquiao once.

Manny clearly hurt Mayweather twice, perhaps up to four times.

Pacquiao perhaps because of hurting Mayweather that he won.

Mayweather will go down as an all time good fighter. But no TBE by any means, why.

This fight should have taken place 5 years ago.

Real champs dont retire to avoid new comers when they are on a streak.

Does not matter how you slice it or cut it. Mayweather left and retired and then came back. He clearly avoided fighters. STRAIGHT UP!!!

He will be known as a great defensive fighter but too much of a runner. All my children for ever and ever will know him as a woman beater and the biggest dodger of all time.

                  Sad but true..

Manny is and will always be known as the best fighter of my era. Why..

                  Never ducked anyone

                  Goes Toe to Toe

                  Never runs..

                  Amen!!!!

First of all this is an overly emotional comment here. You as a parent would waste your time even talking about a boxer while a child is growing up is beyond me. Buy you are going for the dramatics...The whole ducking thing is questionaable too..let's be honest Rios and Algeri weren't the only fighters available but they were the safest.....And this whole "running" the guy fought his fight..just accept it. that's the fight all knew he was gonna fight..so this is just silly..silly man

                    haha

It's amazing everyone got the fight they wanted last night. And most boxing fans tip there hat and finally saw the difference between actually talent between these two fighters. My heart wanted Manny to win, but not being delusional i knew this was gonna be a somewhat easy fight for Mayweather. It's great cause we are here simply discussion boxing, and the Manny fans have come out and said "it don't matter he's a woman beater" or he's a runner..or whatever excuse or comment you need to make to lower the achievement of last night..He made Manny Look no better than Algeri. in Fact Maidana was a better fight than this...

tip your hat, and get on over it...still a lot of other boers to get excited for
