Still, it was clear Lucas was mostly in control throughout.
They just said that Lucas had his right hand hurt into the 6th...

The fight was close mentally Lucas is weak once he sees you can take his punches and keep coming forward he starts to back track great fight

Problem with Matthysse is he seems go gas when the fight goes longer. Tonight he just stopped punching in the last 2-3 rounds.
I disagree Matthysse usually comes on strong late, he still averaged 86 punches a round and through over a thousand. He broke his right hand in round 6 so I think that's the reason for him primarily using just the jab late.

Wow what? Back tracking is boxing smart, you'd have to be ******ed to go toe to toe with Ruslan.

When has Matthysse ever gasseD? He threw over 1000 punches this fight And still didn't look gassed.

De La Hoya is a pu$$y. All he really has is Canelo and Matthysse.

Tend to agree with Oscar. Besides, if Provo wants a post-boxing career in his country, fighting Matty twice won't do him any good. That was an insanely brutal fight. Once was enough. Had Lucas not damaged his hand mid rounds, no telling how beat up Provo would be this afternoon.
