WBA/WBO super bantamweight champion Guillermo Rigondeaux has denied the information contained in a recent press release which stated he would be traveling over to the UK to confront 'regular' WBA champion Scott Quigg. He denied making any of the statements that were contained in the press release.
Rigondeaux says his contract with manager Gary Hyde is set expire in September. The Olympic two-time gold medal winner is looking forward to what he believes to be a new dawn in his career, but is not revealing any information regarding what changes are going to take place. Rigondeaux (15-0, 10 KO) seems to be looking to sit out until contract with Hyde expires.
