Comments Thread For: Mosley: Mayweather Legs Not The Same, But Good Enough

Hall of Fame trainer Freddie Roach is convinced that Manny Pacquiao's speed, and better legs, are the two biggest factors to lead him to victory on May 2nd when he faces Floyd Mayweather Jr. at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Roach is claiming Mayweather's 38-year-old legs "are shot" and he won't be able to get away from Pacquiao's incoming combinations.

"I don't think he moves like he used to," Roach told Sky Sports News HQ at a media open day at his Wild Card Gym. "His legs aren't what they were - that's the first thing to go with a fighter. He has a good right hand but I don't think he'll knock Manny out with that right hand. There's nothing I'm really concerned about so much. I know he's a good fighter, but I just think I have the better fighter. The hand speed's going to be the big, big difference. Manny's much quicker than he is."

Idk what great legs Roach is talking about Pacquiao having. I saw nothing great vs Mosley, Bradley, or Marquez. So he showed good movement against Margarito, Rios, Diaz, DLH. Basically guys who came forward and put their chins on a plate for him. Obviously Floyd won't do that. If Floyd's lefs are gone and he moved like he did aganst Guerrero, Canelo, Maidana 2 then Pac is trouble, he's getting outboxed cause those performances as far as footwork goes were much better than Pacquiao's "footwork" that he only seems to be able to use against Clottey's, Rios', Margarito's of the world.

You contradict yourself in some way, Floyd fought Canelo, Maidana and Guerrero, all who come forward and get ready to be hit. Comparing footwork/speed is difficult unless the 2 fought each other in the same ring, but Margarito is (during his time) probably better than Maidana (today), Rios is probably better than Guerrero based off brawling, Bradley is probably better than Canelo because Canelo has trouble fighting fighters who move. Clottey no-showed vs Pacquiao when he's actually better in general than he performed vs Pacquiao. In order to defeat or do a better chance vs Bradley, you too have to move and move well. Mosley got dropped by Pacquiao, something that is difficult to do especially with Mosley's chin. Just stop man.

Good enough for Mosley but definitely not for Pac. As Marvelous Marvin has said Floyd will not be able to handle Manny.

Manny doesn't even know how to cut the ring off. Mamny is the smaller guy so Floyd won't have to use his legs much.

I disagree! Margarito was already threw and washed up when he fought PAC! Rios is not better than Guerrero! Guerrero would never lose to Alverado!! And Bradley is not better than Canelo! He bigger and faster and would beat the hell out of Bradley!! Floyd just make his opponents look easy! Please just stop! I can tell you don't know **** about boxing
