Should be. I think it's time. If he gets past Manny and then closes the show with another good fight then he really cemented his spot I'm boxing. I'm not sure where that is exactly, but possibly top 20 greatest of all time.

49-0 is weak. 50-0 Sounds grand.

First ballot hall of fame. May is the most disciplined boxer in the game, That's why he is P4P #1 and the favorite coming into this fight against Paq.
With a victory he can retire off into the sunset...Can't wait for May-Day.

Why not? After he got his serving of whoop azz from Manny, why not ask for a rematch on September 12? That way he completed his contract with Showtime/CBS with back to back azz whipping from the so-called midget, then retire with half a billion dollars in his last 2 remaining fights with Sho/CBS.

"If the new arena is done by September, I'll sit down with my team and see if we can go into the new arena - but the [MGM] Grand Garden is my home."
Yeah, I'm pretty sure when he says it's the "last," he's only referring to the SHO contract and not his career. A hunch I've had for a while that he will be the first fight in the new arena that's being built. 50-0 or Pac 2* in the new arena...doubt he will be able to resist more record breaking opportunities

*not that likely but we'll see what the fallout is

If he gets past Pacquiao, there is no reason to fight a lesser fighter afterwards. Just beat Pacquiao and retire on the highest possible note.
