I don't think it's ridiculous at all I watched it twice already. .. I gave Lamont that exact round (the 4th) and nothing else until they 8th he mathematically couldn't win on my scorecard without a KD.

It's crazy that people can call this a robbery... But then again it's Danny Garcia. The best I could see was Pete walking away with a draw. Danny edged it.
People keep bringing up the fact that Danny was missing early in the fight. Look at the punch stats... He threw more and landed more. When do you think that was happening? In the early rounds, the rounds he won!!!

Danny won 1st half, Lamont won the 2nd. Garcia 7-5 was okay, Peterson could have landed more punches, but he decided to play around. Also Garcia countered most of the times after being hit, he was the aggressor most of the fight. If Lamont would have fought more like he did in the middle rounds (can't remember the rounds) when he was bringing the fight and backing Garcia up, he might have won, but Garcia countered well and controlled the pace 8 or so rounds at least.
Even Lamont said it wasn't a robbery, it was close, they could rematch to settler the score.

Tbh I had it 7-5 either way or I was happy with a draw. It was by no means a robbery but I can understand why fans are unhappy that Garcia once again got the benefit of the doubt.

On my first watching Peterson simply did not do enough to win the rounds, yes he dodged punches beautifully but a lot of the time he was just running. Garcia was easily the aggressor so I gave him the first 7, but I can also understand why people would give some of those early rounds to Peterson because Garcia didn't exactly do much himself though as I stated above he was the aggressor and he threw and landed more.

However, in the last 5 rounds of the fight Peterson absolutely mauled Garcia and was on the verge of getting a stopping which made me give all of the last 5 rounds to Peterson. It was scintillating stuff and I believe that had Peterson started his onslaught a couple rounds earlier he would have won a decision or managed to stop Garcia.

Overall a think it was an intriguing fight, mostly the second half, and one that could have went either way. It was more of a case of Peterson losing the fight than Garcia stamping his authority and winning it.

Going forward I think Garcia loses to most competitors at 147 but is still a solid B fighter and as for Peterson I think although he may fair fairly better because of his boxing ability he would still find competition stiff at 147.
