Originally posted by BIGPOPPAPUMP View PostWe knew it would happen sooner or later. During a detailed interview with USA Today, trainer Freddie Roach took shots at Floyd Mayweather Jr.'s controversial past with domestic violence.

Mayweather has been under the gun several times over alleged assaults. In 2012, he spent two months in a Las Vegas detention facility for a physical altercation involving Josie Harris, mother to three of his four children.

As for Floyd, yes he seems like a **** to me. But I don't care. And I have no idea about his personal life, whether he beat a woman or not. I understand he pleaded guilty in order to avoid a likely harsher sentence that would keep him from his kids longer. Is this a bunch of spin? I have no idea, and I don't care.
This fight is about...fighting. Boxing!

Just classless on Freddie's part IMO.
Roach has gone full ****** !

I really like and respect Freddie, personally I think this is in bad taste. It's also in bad taste for Boxing Scene to only specifically pick out that quote because they are making it seem like he came out of left field with that answer by not posting what the journalist asked. All of it is distasteful including the violence itself...this is a big event and it's unfair to make this any sort of a focal point at all. Floyd's history is well documented.
