I want Quillin, Garcia, Figueroa and Wilder to occupy a 2 hour show's advert slots over and over and over again, for exposure."?
Right now, I see similarities of the Haymon we all know and despise. You can keep making excuses for uncle Al. Your check is in the mail. Oh wait, no it isn't.

More commercials that we want or at least thats what you want.
I wish i was part of PBC. Getting a check from then would be awesome.

10 years from now, the whole situation will have changed..
I don't expect PBC to take over until at least this current crop of fighters are retired, by the time the 2020 olympians and especially 2024, the landscape of the business will be completely different than it is today..

The commissioner of the NFL does not have personal contracts with any football player or team. THEY CANNOT AS IT WOULD BE A CONFLICT OF INTEREST AND ILLEGAL.
Haymon cannot legally be in control of a boxing 'league' or be the 'commissioner' of such a league while also having the athletes who work for that league under personal services contracts such as an advisor or manager.
Now, when you accept that as a fact we can continue the discussion. Until then, do not bother replying to my posts as I am done with trying to have an intelligent discussion with someone who obviously is not able to participate.
Like Haymon won't figure out all the legalities.. The guy is a brilliant bushiness man, and I'm sure he will change how he operates to be legal...
Just like when schafer and GBP split, didn't al get all his fighters out of there, same thing with this...

When UFC got big, it was new and had no competitors. Difference in boxing, is that HBO is an established brand. People who follow the sport already know HBO, Golden Boy and some of the other smaller promotions.
PBC can definitely increase interest amongst casuals. But those who follow the sport already, know some of the biggest names are with HBO.
I love how PBC and boxing in general is on network television. Just hope we'll see promoters work together occasionally.

Can't say I'm surprised, they've said they wanted a UFC model and it's apparent that's what Haymon is going for. I don't know if it will work out good or bad, I could care less about the belts though. Haymon would have to be a complete idiot to have any fight for the that belt or even appear on PBC who wasn't signed with Haymon... Then again I wonder what a fight like Canelo/Kirkland would do on free TV or whoever Cotto faces next.
The reason I bring them up is that Haymon has Floyd and then virtually uknown people with no one in between. If Thurman could draw 3.5 or so, is getting a 5 or 6 rating out of the question for 2nd tier draws like Canelo and Cotto? That's a strong number and would get more interest than something like Thurman. I think a big NBA game during the season gets like 6 or 7, boxing being a close second would gain a lot of coverage I would imagine. The revenue may bring more than HBO is willing to pay as well.
