There will be (more) injuries, delays, alot of excuses, alot of bithcing and crying and maybe even lawsuits before we see Ward inside the ring with the Krusher.

If Ward eventually has the balls it will really depend on the judge. Will he enforce the rule of a boxing fight and prevent Ward from headbutting, holding, clinching and spoiling the fight? Then i dont see Ward going the distance.

I can guarantee you Ward and his trainer will try everything possible to get every advantage for Ward thats possible, with the refs, judge, ring size, gloves, money etc. and they rather delay or even boycott the fight instead of giving away anything.
yeah cant take it for granted that the fight will happen. co-ward may decide to have another 5 years of doing nothing, think the fire has burnt out with co-ward. Like many fighters, they have the hunger to get to the top and willing to take the hard fights when unproven, e.g super six, now hes there its gone, and doesnt want any more hard work. thats why he fights paul smith, alexander brand etc. brace yourselves for a pull out.

Basically it's the same pattern of pick the power puncher over the strategist.

In a fair fight, I have no doubt Kovalev would win. But home country advantage may be a factor in this one.

With an honest, neutral referee, Ward would be stopped from his illegal tactics (arm-clamping, head butts, low blows, hitting off the break, etc).

Kovalev may well be fighting two men in there... referees can make a difference, as we saw in Salido-Lomachenko.

Why is it that fans of the feared, hard hitting "killer" are always making pre-fight excuses against the scared, frail boxer?

Finally we agree on something. Ward whips him easy!

I guess, I see Ward perform some masterful **** in there. He does use some sly veteran tactics though.

I should have included "Ward will back out" as an option in the poll.
