What excuse does Anthony Joshua have for fighting these cans?

There is no real good reason to rush him, the only way he should be rushed is if his flame is white hot and going to burn quick as hell. Joshua doesn't seem like the sort that burns his candle at both ends that make moving him quick the best option.

Wilder was 5 years away when he set foot in a pro ring, anyone with any boxing acumen could tell you that. Joshua at this moment is like 2 years away maybe 18 months if they are gutsy and lucky (no injuries and the fights line up).

Beterbiev is 30, Joshua 25. Beterbiev needs to be fast tracked before he's way past his physical prime.

Joshua only has 11 fights. In today's era where you have 30 championship belts per division and some divisions are so weak that a guy with less than 10 fights can win a championship, it might seem like Beterbiev is at the top of the class. However, he is not. Beating up a human punching bag in Campillo is not better competition. Both Beterbiev and Joshua are still raw. Beterbiev needs 6 or 7 more fights before he is ready to compete for a championship and Joshua needs at least 10 more fights.

I wouldnt mind AJ fighting bums for a while, but only on the condition he isn't considered the no2 ranked heavyweight behind Fury according to a british boxing ****zine.

Once you are awarded that accolade AJ should at least be fighting Price, Chisora now as he is above them.

I would like to see him against Price and Haye especially. I wonder if haye thinks he would have to have a long preparation to fight AJ? He knows he'd need to, to fight Wilder, but as AJ is less experienced, I just wonder under what circumstances would haye fight AJ

I don't know how Wilder gets dragged into a thread about Anthony Joshua but...OK

Anyway, Joshua still young, still learning, still have room to grow and get better so...WTF IS THE RUSH? Then if he ends up like Michael Grant or Fernando Vargas and be rushed too fast and thrown in too soon with the Top Fighters and gets destroy, not many will give him the benefit of the doubt you will then label him a "HYPE JOB"

So Yeah...*** OFF to those trying to Rush Anthony Joshua along. If you don't like who he is fighting right now, TURN IT OFF and Check Back in about a year or so when he does step up competition

dont chat complete rubbish. campillo is a former world champion, gavern is a taxi driver who is/was never even close to world level.

Joshua said in an interview with iFLTV yesterday that Haye would more than likely win if they fought now due to the experience difference. AJ said Haye fought Klitschko in the past, owned Cruiserweight and Heavyweight titles. He said in the future it could be a more even fight.

Parker is more advanced than Joshua.

Yes, I agree, under normal circumstances haye would win. But im talking about a haye coming back from injury, and would haye take AJ as his first comeback fight from injury?

Is AJ too good for a comeback fight for Haye?

If anything he's being rushed. I'd like to see him fight more often on just about every matchroom undercard.
