Comments Thread For: Kell Brook: It Makes No Sense, Algieri Brings Nothing!

IBF welterweight champion Kell Brook says he is frustrated that a fight with domestic rival Amir Khan has not been made.

Sheffield's Brook retained his world strap with a four-round destruction of Jo Jo Dan a week ago and immediately called out regular verbal sparring partner Khan.

The two have spent the week trading barbs - with Brook offering a June 13 date at Wembley for an all-British bout - but Khan made it clear he was going his own way when announcing his next opponent on Thursday.

Khan is a Damn fool, if he were to fight and beat brook in June, he'd become the gatekeeper to undisputed champion title for two fighters looking to retire at the very top... How is fighting Algieri better than that. I'd be frustrated if i were brook too, it's an obvious duck from Khan, he must not think he'd have won the fight, that'd be the only reason not to take it.

Khan doesn't deserve a title shot now, having turned one down being offered with a huge pay day.

Why will boxing aficionados listen to the ******ity of a mere khan...few days ago he chalenged Brook to a winner take all and Brook took the chalenge. Now khan is talking of an Algieri fight. How ****** can this guy get. This guy is worst than chicken Floyd. Too much posturing.

Confirming the Algieri fight just confirms that Khan & his team are looking to cash out.

Easy oponents, minimal risk to get a few easy million in the bank...all the while name dropping real fighters.

I hope the Khan Algieri fight sinks.

Khan will wait for Thurman to give Brook an L.

Then he will say, "see, Brook is just not on my level."

He would rather fight 3 Algieris in a row than fight 1 Brook.

                  how can anyone disagree?

Undoubtedly, the khan bum sniffers will bring up Dan, who is a world title mandatory, but Algieri is an absolute cherry pick.

Actually, Khan's resume would look better without Algieri's name on it.

This is reminiscent of Donaire and all the excuses he had for not wanting to fight Rigo... It became apparent as to why when the finally squared off. This is a "cool little fight" as far as things to stateside but in terms of the UK I can't see how this guy (Khan) will be able to live a normal life if he doesn't face Brook at this point...
