Comments Thread For: Corley: Mayweather is Looking For a KO, He'll Dominate

Former champion DeMarcus Corley is predicting a dominating performance by WBC/WBA welterweight and junior middleweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. on May 2nd, when he faces WBO king Manny Pacquiao at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Corley is part of Mayweather's camp as a sparring partner. The two of them faced each other more than ten years ago, with Mayweather winning a twelve round unanimous decision but not before Corley landed some telling blows in their junior welterweight title eliminator.

The 40-year-old veteran is still going strong. Based on what he's observed, Mayweather is training for a late rounds knockout. If it goes to a decision, he picks Mayweather to dominate his way to at least a 116-112 decision.

Manny has 3 rounds to make his mark. By round 4 he gets his ass kicked.

If Floyd is looking for the KO then he'll have to come out of his shell and actually "fight". Good news for Pac.

Don't be silly, Floyd isn't looking for a KO. He never does. Of course, if a KO opportunity presents he may but he'll be happy with a W.

This fight goes the distance... I have Mayweather to win a Split Decision.

Nah that's the difference between the pacquaio and Floyd fans on this site

Obviously Corley is biased but as a boxing fan I respect him. He's given a lot to the game and still going strong

Being agressive against lower class fighters that also have less power than pacquaio is easy compared to when Floyd steps in with manny

I doubt Floyd is looking for the ko

C'mon both set of fans ( and by fans I mean true fanatics and fanboys) are terrible.

I'm actually of the opinion that a decision is something Floyd can't win......His style of one or two big right hand won't win the rounds vs Pacquiao because when Manny throws 4-5 punches he may only land one but he gets credit for more...

The knockout though is really realistic.... for one Floyd fights aggressively vs southpaws...it's how he was taught.....two... Manny is there to be hit....Manny never had a great chin and Marquez has never had great power(yet was consistently able to hurt Manny throughout their series)
