Comments Thread For: Gonzalez-Russell Early Results: Cesar Seda Upset

The Pearl, Palms Casino, Las Vegas - In an eight round featherweight contest, Cesar Juarez (16-3, 13KOs) open up the show with an upset eight round majority decision victory over Cesar Seda (26-3, 17KOs). The scores were 76-74, 76-74 and 75-75

Juarez was very aggressive in the first round. He came out throwing big punches and it didn't take that long before he caught and dropped Seda. He then unloaded a lot of punches on Seda and for a moment it appeared as if referee Russell Mora was going to step in to wave things off, but he allowed the action to continue. Seda recovered by the start of the second round and started trading bombs with Juarez at close range.

Imagine if Mexican prospects actually stepped up like Puerto Rican prospects do? You damn sure wouldn't have Ramirez raking up 30+ wins and JCCJR with an almost perfect record.

Gilberto Ramirez should step up like Jonathan Gonzalez. Ramirez K.O.'d an undefeated Rogelio Medina 5 years ago and Gonzalez went life and death with Medina in his last fight, . Not to mention Ramirez is 23 years old and Gonzalez is 25, .

The 24 year old Juan Francisco Estrada will probably never step up to the level of competition of the 29 year old McWilliams Arroyo.

Arroyo's loss to Ruenrueng > Estrada's wins over Viloria, Segura, Melindo, and Sanchez Jr., .

The 24 year old Saul Alvarez will never reach the level of the 25 year old Thomas Dulorme.

                Puta maricon, .
